Vlad Vicol

Vlad Vicol Vlad Vicol is an assistant professor at Princeton University, USA. He obtained his PhD at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and currently holds a visiting position at the Institut Henri Poincaré, Paris, France. His main research interests are in Elliptic and Parabolic Partial Differential Equations, Mathematical Fluid Dynamics and nonlinear Stochastic Partial Differential Equations.

 

"Mathematical aspects of incompressible fluid dynamics": We introduce some of the main models (partial differential equations) which arise in the mathematical modeling of incompressible fluids. We overview some of the classical results in the field and present a plethora of open problems, motivated both by physics and mathematical analysis.
